Climate Change and Social Vulnerability in Boston

By selecting Name, Zip Code and SUM to appropriate positions in the sheet, we can get a map to convey the information. According to these screenshots, it is important to understand what information can dimensions and measures present and provide to readers. Based on the first screenshot, I added SUM as a measure and labeled it on the map, so we can identify the number values. In the finished map, I chose to highlight the measure and used gradient color to present the differences.

Here are some questions:

  1. How these areas of Boston are divided? Why there are several areas not showing on the chart?

  2. Besides map, how do we choose the best graphics to represent data?

  3. How can you compare multiple sets of data variables within the same graphic and make data more readable? For example, if I want to compare the numbers of Older adult and Children, how can I receive data from graphics directly?
